Shift: 4x12 Day Shift (12-hour shifts)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Pay: $3,000/week (all-inclusive)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Med Surg RN for a short-term, high-impact contract assignment in Des Moines, IA. This 4-week role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical judgment and the ability to care for diverse adult patient populations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care for a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Assess patient health, administer medications, and perform wound care and IV therapy
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Document all care accurately using hospital EMR systems
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and recovery

Requirements:

• Active Iowa RN license (or compact license)
• Minimum of 1–2 years recent Med Surg experience in an acute care setting
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong multitasking, time management, and communication skills
• EMR experience (Epic preferred)

Contract Details:

• Assignment Length: 4 weeks
• Shift Schedule: 4x12 Day Shifts (typically 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 48 hours
• Weekly Pay: $3,000 (includes taxable and non-taxable components)
• Setting: Inpatient, Medical-Surgical Unit
